Cleaning a Bathroom Naturally with Bicarbonate of Soda and Vinegar

You will Need

  • Bicarbonate of Soda
  • A Bottle of Vinegar
  • Lemon Juice
  • A Spray Bottle
  • A sponge
  • A cloth
  • Warm Water
  • A Mop and Bucket
  • A squeegee (optional)

Instructions

  1. Open a window, if you can, to allow humidity to escape the room.
  2. Make your cleaning solution. Take a cup of Bicarbonate of Soda, half a cup of Vinegar, half a cup of Water, and a splash of Lemon Juice. Pour it all in the Spray Bottle and shake well.
  3. Spray the solution in the bath, showerheads, sink and toilet, and any other surfaces in the bathroom. Spray liberally and ensure any particularly grimy areas are coated well in the solution. Let it sit on every surface for 15 minutes so that the science can happen.
  4. Wash down walls and surfaces with Warm water, a sponge, and a cloth to dry.
  5. After 15 minutes use the sponge to wipe away the solution. Start with the sink and any worktops and shelves, then the shower, bath and finally the toilet.
  6. If you can use the shower head to wash down any glass, metal, or plastic surfaces and let the solution wash away down the plughole.
  7. Use a sponge to scrub any surfaces that have any remaining grime and scum to get them clean.
  8. If you have one use a squeegee to wash any glass surfaces downwards. Rinse away any water down the plughole.
  9. Finally, mop and dry the floor using warm water.
